Interview for Growth Coaching 

Here is what is involved in the growth edge interview process.   

Interview process: 

You need to be available for a 90-minute interview (in person or on Zoom).  You will get some preparation suggestions for the interview, and it won’t take you very long to do that. It’s just a bit of thinking time about what you would like to talk about.

Then a few weeks later (depending on the logistics for us both), there is another 60-90 minute debrief session, in which I will talk you through adult development theory and where your sense making is showing up.  There are two options in this process:

  1. You receive a copy of the transcript of our earlier conversation, and we talk it through together. 

  2. You receive a copy of the transcript of our earlier conversation, and a Growth Edge Feedback Report, which will identify your stage of adult development and provide habits of mind for your consideration in service of your continued development.

Either approach provides the input for us to derive our coaching topics and content. 

What’s in it for you?

  • You develop understanding of adult development theory and a (new) context for conceiving your leadership development in your work.

  • If you choose the report option, the written report about how you are showing up in relation to adult development theory provides a baseline for your development thinking for quite some time. It also includes initial suggestions for taking your own development to the next level. 

  • Suggestions from your written report or debrief session can be built upon in coaching sessions.
